How is this different? As an example, when kill rates were recorded and publicized for Wolfe Island a few years ago they had the 2nd highest kill rate of any wind development in Canada or the US. Nuclear as well, of course. Or maybe we should build some? We do obviously need baseload with a minimum load that usually is about 13, MW and nuclear was always meant to be designated as such along with some hydro.

Turn off the turbines and see what happens says an engineering professor [Photo: Dusseault, professor of Engineering Geology at the University of Waterloo, says that the contamination of water wells in Chatham-Kent following construction and operation of a new wind power project there is likely caused by the power project. The engineering professor plans to compare changes to the sedimentation in the well water over time, he says, relating the data to changes in the direction and velocity of the wind, which drives the turbines.

First impressions are everything, and when you pull up to this campground, the first impression you get is it is a dumping ground. Once you move past that, the next thing you see is the owners have used a camping space for their own storage, although there is plenty of storage the old owners NEVER had their stuff all over the place. The current owners have a huge boat which isn’t even allowed on the lake , a flat bed with tons of chain link fencing, a trailer, just randomly parked by their house.
This is very inconvenient having to get in and out of your vehicle each time we want to leave to go into town. In all the years we have been here, there has never been anything like this. We are now responsible for our own lawn maintenance, we now have to pay for hydro, and we don’t get our winter storage fee deducted from our fees. The opening weekend there was no running water, or use of our washrooms, because the lines were frozen.
Again, in all the years we have been there, we have never experienced anything like that. There are so many empty lots, we counted at least 15! That should tell you something about the new owners and how people see them. We no longer can sell our trailers privately, we just have to pull them off, which is expensive and costs us to loose the value of our trailers.

Steam going to steam turbine Cold water returning from turbine Containment building made of reinforced concrete The basic operation of the CANDU design is similar to other nuclear reactors. Fission reactions in the reactor core heat pressurized water in a primary cooling loop. A heat exchanger , also known as a steam generator , transfers the heat to a secondary cooling loop, which powers a steam turbine with an electric generator attached to it for a typical Rankine thermodynamic cycle.
The exhaust steam from the turbines is then cooled, condensed and returned as feedwater to the steam generator. The final cooling often uses cooling water from a nearby source, such as a lake, river, or ocean. Newer CANDU plants, such as the Darlington Nuclear Generating Station near Toronto , Ontario , use a diffuser to spread the warm outlet water over a larger volume and limit the effects on the environment.
On top of having someone come to hook up your cable and Internet, you’ll need to make sure your hydro, gas, oil and/or electricity are ready to go, and some of those come with hook-up fees. Make sure you set aside at least a few hundred dollars, so you’re not surprised by your first set of bills.
Equifax is not the creditor. PeytonEli no they are allowed to confirm your name and position, that is all, but once they have that they cannot call again. Steps to Control Hi, I live in Alberta and I have debt from 3 credit card companies since and student loans. Recently I was called frequently by them all regarding my unpaid required minimum amount for more than six months and outstanding balances. I noticed I was charged with massive interests, fees, and penalties. I was told that I would have a bad credit score, and could lose my ability to get a mortgage, a car, and hired by a company.
After researching into this today, now I regret having claimed the debt and going into the details of my story of woe. May I ask if you can elaborate on the Alberta Limitations Act please? Would it legally help me anymore if I sent them a brief financial statement, letter from my accountant, or phone to negotiate an amount to settle my credit card debts after my unintentional actions done to make it messy?
Credit Collections If they sue you the statute of limitations extends to 10 years, if they have not sued they only have two years to sue that starts when you stop paying or if you have never paid then the original date to the creditor when the debt became past due. Do not provide any further information to a collection agency or your creditor or offer a settlement at this time. Credit Collections unfortunately they will likely never leave you alone because old debts are sold and bought all the time, I have heard of debts 15 year old the subject of calls and letters.

Yet during the eighteenth century, the only schooling that the sons and daughters of non-commissioned officers would have received was in cursing and fending for themselves and, if they were girls, making themselves useful by washing and sewing for their father’s soldier comrades. Although regimental schools were increasingly being established, with senior non-commissioned officers initially doing the teaching, these were originally intended to teach illiterate recruits how to read, write and calculate.
But then because many of those illiterate recruits were army children, the realisation dawned that the regimental schools might as well start teaching these soldiers-in-the-making, and their future wives for many army daughters later ‘married into’ the regiment while they were still young. And occupying army children with schoolwork and needlework also had the advantage of keeping them out of trouble!

The Gas Supply Charge is what will change when you contract with a gas marketer. Gas marketers now have the option to control the charge for Transportation instead of allowing the utility to charge this item. Not all marketers have taken over this charge. It is usually due to the utility charging more or less than it cost them to buy the gas.

The lakes, forests and rocky landscape captivated the first visitors and have drawn people back for more than years. Early visitors, often rode a train down to Muskoka Wharf where they were transported by steamship to their summer homes and holiday resorts. Gravenhurst has a colourful history. Lumbering and sawmills were important. The mills are gone and today the Muskoka Wharf is buzzing with different activity.

Helps if you have the trade tickets and your own hoe: I’m on a farm and had the right topography so was able to get away with open discharge. If you were going to get a loan to purchase a property under 10 acres that had an existing sewer pump out you would be required to change to a field system to meet standards. Depending on soil type field systems can run you 15 to 40 grand or more.
If you own the qtr around the acreage you can use a pump out system. A two year wait is absurd. I’d like to see this. PM me a link please. Depending where you live but in central alberta we paid Also i would like to add they were 5 days bringing in the gas line about 3 kms. Then another yards through the push to get to house. I thought that was the best deal i got on the whole house building exsperince.

Landlord and Tenant Law questions answered for tenants and landlords by Ottawa lawyer Michael Thiele. How Many Are Allowed? In the context of residential tenancy law, the ownership of pets and keeping those pets upon a rental complex sometimes causes significant problems for neighbours and landlords. There is little dispute today that a landlord, in Ontario, may indeed choose not to rent to a person with pets.
There is no prohibition against a landlord screening out prospective tenants because of pet ownership. Equally true, however, is that once a tenant is in possession of an apartment, a landlord is not able to terminate the tenancy, nor require the tenant to get rid of the pet.

The Haliburton Highlands is a special part of Ontario, and is considered by many of those seeking to experience the outdoors, to be Ontario’s premiere destination. Its countless lakes, streams, trails, and dense forest provide the backdrop for many of Ontario’s favourite outdoor recreational activities And just like the famous Algonquin Park that it borders, Haliburton has steadfastly resisted any type of development that could take away from its unique natural beauty. And this unique and and breath-taking section of the Canadian Shield is bordered to the north by Algonquin Park, with it’s population centred mostly around just a handful of small villages.
While most lakefrontage on Haliburton’s biggest lakes is being swallowed up by developers, and turned into condos, Kashaga Lodge Cottage Resort remains the only “housekeeping” resort near the village of Haliburton. The cottages are quite privately located and have fully-equipped kitchens, decks, BBQs, cable TV, firepits, picnic tables, WiFi access, and 5 acres of open tree-lined lakeside property, on glorious Lake Kashagawigamog.
All surrounded by trails, trails, and more trails. These are cottages, and fully-equipped housekeeping suites, not motel rooms. Landlord and Tenant Law questions answered for tenants and landlords by Ottawa lawyer Michael Thiele. AddThis Wednesday, 28 November Ontario: Illegal Security Deposits From time to time clients bring me some odd leases that have been drafted, not by lawyers, but by landlords themselves. For the most part the terms are reasonable and generally enforceable.
However, one area that is always problematic, is anything to do with security deposits and “additional charges”. The problem though, is that the vast majority of the charges levied in this way are illegal under the Residential Tenancies Act.

This was to be our first-ever RVing experience. We were very excited, just having purchased our first house trailer, and were looking forward to our vacation at Baie des Sables with our little pound fluff-ball of a dog, “Bo”. I was well acquainted with the park’s rules about dogs: So, we arrive late in the afternoon, park our trailer, and begin the process of setting up camp, which takes about an hour.
While my husband did most of this, I helped out while holding our dog on the leash. As we worked, a guy walked by our campsite with a good-sized black dog. Bo barked a couple of times, but I quieted him quickly. Eventually we finished our set-up, and while I made supper in the trailer, my hubby read at the picnic table with the dog sleeping at his feet. Then I happened to notice a white Baie des Sables pickup drive slowly past us, as if looking at us. I thought it might be because I had mentioned at the Welcome Desk that we were first-timers, so maybe they wanted to see how we managed.
But then, less than 10 minutes later, he returned going the other direction, went past us, and then stopped. Coincidentally, at that same moment, someone walked by with two dogs, a small breed and a Husky with an upright tail a sign of aggression to another dog. Bo barked a few times before my husband managed to get hold of him, but it was already too late. The pickup had reversed into our campsite and a man got out.
